After the high season of weddings I, as many other wedding photographers, get back to a ‘normal’ way of life where I can enjoy -again- of having more time to spend with friends and family, weekends are slightly more available and it’s also a great moment to create and let my imagination fly (without deadline’s pressure).
This little, and lovely, editorial was the result of an amazing team created by Sarao Barcelona, Molist Floristes, Red Lips Makeup Studio, and our lovely model Aitana. You would never believe this kind of landscape can be found so close from the city of Barcelona. We were very lucky, it was a sunny and cold (very cold) day but you would never said that thanks to Aitana. Our main idea was to have fun, enjoy an afternoon together and, lucky us, we could even admire a gorgeous sunset.
My first idea for this wedding editorial was to shoot only in digital photography, but then I realize that I could make some shoots with my Mamiya 645 a medium format camera that I normally use only for portraits and personal work. What an amazing idea, after seen the images I felt deeply in love with them! Many people ask me why do I still work with film photography and my first answer is: “Because I only shoot and enjoy in a very slow way”. After that all I have to do is send them to my trusted lab (Carmencita Film Lab) and wait for the result, is even much better than Christmas presents!
Pictures are slightly mixed in this post, everybody was free to do whatever they want, we improvised, the flower bouquets were a special creation and the makeup team decided the makeup finish on the go! We had fun, lots of fun. And we got cold, very much! But hey, when was the last time you did something just for fun and got an amazing result? I really can’t wait to do it again, so I better hurry up before the new wedding season catch me!
If you have a fun idea for a shooting and would like to share it, count on me!
